PADDINGTON JOINS THE QUEEN FOR TEA FOR HER PLATINUM JUBILEE.

More in common than being British icons!

"A wise bear always keeps a marmalade sandwich in his hat in case of emergency."

 In February Queen Elizabeth II became the first British Monarch to celebrate 70 years of service to the United Kingdom. To commemorate this achievement, the UK is throwing a Platinum Jubilee lasting from June 2-5 with public events and parades to honor Her Majesty. One very special guest even received tea with Her Majesty! On June 4 Paddington Bear sat down with The Queen to share a calm before the excitement of the Platinum Party at the Palace, the massive concert held outside of Buckingham Palace. The sweet British bear even brought The Queen a marmalade sandwich!

A video posted to YouTube allows us a peek inside the palace as Queen Elizabeth hosts an intimate tea party for herself and Paddington Bear, who we can only assume is an old friend.

 PEACE AND NON VIOLENCE SCHOOL DAY

Spanish teacher LLorens Vidal proposed the school day for peace and non-violence on 30th January, a fact recognised by the United Nations since 1993. 

Seven years ago I discovered this video in which technology made it possible to mix Lennon with anonymous and diverse voices. Today I think it is a good occasion to remember it.

Take care of everything around you and you will help create a better world.

My grattitude to all the students,especially to María for her idea with the sentence in the banner PEACE MEANS and Alba, Héctor, Ismael & Antia ( 3º ESO Desdobres) who helped me to cut out and decorate the school to finish on time. NOVEMBER,25h INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMAN.

There is little to say on something as obvious as unquestionable.

One out of 3 women, endure violence during their lifetime. Not only physical but also psychological by "beings" raised in an arrogance and narcissism that only hides their own weakness and who need to be re-educated. 

We cannot be spectators of this. We all have a role to play.  Let´s fight violence together.

WOMAN IN SCIENCE WHO CHANGED THE WORLD

Only 28,8% of people in STEAM (Science, Technology,Engineering &Math) jobs are women. 

Some reasons are:

•  gender stereotypes- STEM are often seen as "masculine"
•  Stem jobs often have male-dominated cultures 
•  Girls see fewer female role models in science.

Out of 975 Nobel Prize, women received only 59.

It is up to all of us to change the trajectory of history by seeking gender equality.
